IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT DWI

Between July 2008 and June 2009, there were 44,832 DWI convictions in North Carolina. State law requires that DWI offenders obtain a substance abuse assessment and complete the recommended intervention, which is either education or treatment. The Division of MH/DD/SAS oversees this process, making sure that assessment and intervention conditions are satisfied. NBCS has been licensed by the Division of MH/DD/SAS to provide DWI services in the state of North Carolina.

WHAT STEPS DO I NEED TO TAKE IN ORDER TO HAVE MY DRIVER’S LICENSE RE-INSTATED:

In order to have your driver's license re-instated, after the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) revocation period, the following administrative sanctions must be completed:

***Paid State mandatory fees: $100.00 - assessment, $160.00 - ADETS or the first $75.00 of treatment services. NBCS may charge additional fees that vary among other DWI agencies.

All assessments will be conducted:

*NBCS will obtain a copy of your "Complete Driving History" from DMV.

Referrals for DWI services:

NBCS may charge for special services and for handling out of state cases.

NBCS's DWI services fees are as follows:

***Fees are subject to change (lower never higher) depending on circumstances for Short Term and Long Term, but the rest of the fees are set in stone.
***DWI services are currently provided to individuals in Chatham and Lee Counties.

"Other Enhanced Services Provided by NBCS"

NBCS is recognized as a "Dually Diagnosis Enhanced" Mental Health Agency governed by the Department of Health and Human Services, the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, the Secretary of State and the local Mental Health Entities (OPC/Sandhills). NBCS is highly qualified to provide enhanced mental health and substance abuse services to its clients. These services are provided by licensed qualified staff who specialize in substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment, behavioral healthcare treatment, DD-targeted case management services, medication management, diagnostic assessments and psychiatric evaluations. In addition, NBCS currently provides the following substance abuse enhanced services: SAIOP (Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program), SACOT (Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment). These outpatient programs are designed to treat clients with moderate to severe drug addictions.
